DIAMONDS ARE
FOREVER
1971

Sean Connery (25 August 1930 - 31 October 2020) returned to the world of James Bond with Diamonds Are Forever (1971). The film had a lighter tone than On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969) and its success at the box office helped ensure the Bond series continued into the 1970’s. There are some classic stills of Las Vegas; many behind the scenes shots in the city of the film unit at work and actor Sean Connery in the Casinos. The shooting schedule lasted just over four months: filming commenced 5 April 1971 and wrapped on the 13 August 1971. Diamonds Are Forever looks to have been an enjoyable production as many of the cast and crew can be seen relaxing and having fun between takes. Stills photographers are credited as George Whitear and Lee Green. Terry O’Neill (30 July 1938 – 16 November 2019) also photographed images for the film. Contributions to these stills are from Julian Keen, Laurent Perriot and Terry Hine.
